Why this Project Matters
The hospitality and tourism sector is one of the most dynamic in Europe, but also one of the most vulnerable to disruption. Global crises, changing consumer habits, and digital platforms have transformed the way people book, pay, and experience services.
While large chains have resources to adapt, small businesses and young professionals risk being left behind. Many lack the digital skills needed to thrive in this new environment.
HOSSKILLS addresses this gap by combining practical digital training with entrepreneurial skills, ensuring that the hospitality sector is not just surviving — but innovating.
Our Approach
The project is structured around creating tools and resources that bring digitalisation directly into hospitality training and practice:
- 📚 Digital Skills Curriculum
- Modular, flexible, and mobile-friendly content for VET learners.
- Covers digital marketing, online reservations, digital payments, and delivery systems.
- 🎥 Role Model Stories
- Video case studies of successful hospitality businesses that have embraced digital tools.
- Inspiration for students and entrepreneurs through real examples.
- 🛠 Entrepreneurship Pathways
- Practical guidance on how digital tools can open business opportunities.
- Support for learners to go from “employee mindset” to “entrepreneurial thinking.”
- 📢 Dissemination & Training
Courses, multiplier events, and digital resources to spread methods widely across Europe.
