About the project

As Artificial Intelligence becomes part of everyday life, many people are being asked to adapt quickly. AI is now used in work, education, communication, and even simple daily tasks. But not everyone has had the same opportunity to understand it, use it, or feel confident with it.

For many adults across Europe, AI can feel distant, technical, or simply not made for them. Adult educators also face this challenge: they are expected to support learners in a changing digital world, but often lack the tools, training, and confidence to bring AI into their teaching in an accessible way.

AI Future project addresses these challenges by creating accessible and practical pathways for adults to understand and use AI in real-life situations. The project aims to reduce barriers that often prevent adults from participating in digital learning, such as language challenges, lack of confidence, and limited technical experience.

To support broad accessibility, AI Future will provide multilingual educational resources, an open-access online platform, and a permanent AI Library designed to make AI more understandable and usable for everyone, regardless of background or skill level.

Approach

AI Future follows a practical and structured approach built around four main steps:

1. Project Management and Coordination
Partners coordinate the project, monitor progress, manage quality, and ensure that activities are delivered on time and in line with the project objectives.

2. AI Future Methodology
The project identifies the needs and barriers faced by marginalized adults and uses these findings to develop a user-friendly AI methodology. This includes practical learning modules, hands-on activities, and guidance for adult educators.

3. AI Future Platform
The project creates an open-access online platform with learning materials, video tutorials, interactive activities, and an AI Library with useful tools for everyday life.

4. Dissemination
The project shares its results through learning festivals, an international conference, policy recommendations, and the AI Future Community, ensuring that the resources remain useful beyond the project lifetime.

The project aims to achieve the following  results:

Development of a practical AI Future Methodology

Creation of an AI Library with practical AI tools

Train 14 educators in practical AI teaching methods.

Involve 230+ stakeholders

Build AI Future Community
+350 members

AI Future platform

The AI Future Methodology Partner Workshop in Tallinn - March 2026

Looking ahead

By promoting practical AI skills and inclusive digital learning, the project seeks to contribute to a future where more adults can confidently access and benefit from digital opportunities.
