Teaching Smarter with AI is a 5-day course designed to help educators understand and use artificial intelligence effectively in their teaching practice. Participants explore practical AI tools for lesson planning, material creation, assessment, and student engagement while learning how to use these technologies responsibly and critically in the classroom.

Throughout the course, participants explore how AI can assist with lesson planning, creating teaching materials, differentiating content for diverse learners, and designing assessments and feedback. The programme also focuses on developing effective prompting techniques, critically evaluating AI-generated content, and understanding ethical and data-protection considerations. Through hands-on workshops, practical exercises, and collaborative discussions, educators learn how to integrate AI into their daily teaching workflows while maintaining pedagogical quality and academic integrity.
By the end of this course, participant will be able to:
Teachers will gain practical experience working with AI tools and learn how to apply them confidently while maintaining responsible and thoughtful use in educational settings.
Participants will learn how to assess the accuracy, reliability, and potential bias of AI-generated content before using it in their teaching.
Educators will discover concrete ways to use AI tools to support lesson design, create learning materials, and enhance assessment and feedback processes.
The course explores important issues such as responsible AI use, academic integrity, and the pedagogical implications of using AI in the classroom.
Participants will develop a practical action plan to integrate AI tools into their teaching practice and institutional context.
The first day introduces the foundations of artificial intelligence in education. Participants explore what AI is, how it works, and its practical implications for teaching and learning. Key themes include understanding how AI systems generate content, recognising limitations and common misconceptions, and examining ethical considerations such as bias and data protection. Participants are also introduced to effective prompting techniques. Hands-on activities allow teachers to begin using AI tools for basic lesson planning tasks.

This session focuses on developing more effective and structured ways of working with AI tools. Participants learn how to refine prompts, structure complex tasks, and improve output quality. Key areas include advanced prompting techniques, comparing AI tools and selecting appropriate use cases, fact-checking and verifying AI-generated content, and evaluating reliability and source credibility. Practical exercises guide participants through structured verification workflows.

Participants explore how AI can support material development and classroom resources. The session focuses on transforming existing content into multiple formats and adapting materials for different student needs. Key areas include creating differentiated learning materials, developing assessments and feedback tools, using AI to enhance engagement and interactivity, and selecting appropriate tools for specific educational purposes. Hands-on activities demonstrate integrated workflows from idea generation to refinement.

The fourth day focuses on long-term implementation. Participants apply their learning to develop structured AI-supported teaching plans relevant to their own context. Key areas include designing AI-assisted lesson or course structures, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment, balancing human expertise with AI support, and planning sustainable integration into daily teaching practice. The session concludes with reflection, feedback, and the development of a personal implementation plan.

The final day focuses on integration and reflection. The session includes reflection on learning outcomes, peer and trainer feedback, and discussions about future development goals. The course concludes with certificate distribution and a closing networking session.

Our courses are designed as an intensive 5-day learning experience where participants fully engage in professional development, collaboration, and international exchange. Each day combines structured training sessions, interactive workshops, and practical exercises that reflect real classroom challenges. Participants also have opportunities to connect with educators from different countries.
Our training approach focuses on hands-on learning rather than theory. Sessions are built around workshops, real-life scenarios, and task-based activities that allow participants to experiment with new tools and teaching methods. Teachers actively practice what they learn and receive feedback from trainers and peers throughout the course.
Participants stay in comfortable accommodation in Aalborg, providing a convenient and welcoming environment throughout the course. Staying together also creates additional opportunities for networking, informal discussions, and exchange of experiences between educators from different countries.
Participants leave the course with practical strategies, teaching tools, and resources they can immediately apply in their classrooms. Whether learning about AI tools, communication techniques, or student-centred learning approaches, the focus is on solutions that are directly transferable to everyday teaching practice.
At the end of the course, participants receive a certificate of attendance documenting their participation and learning outcomes. Upon request, we can also provide a Europass Mobility certificate and support with Learning Agreement documentation, making the course fully compatible with Erasmus+ staff mobility requirements.
