Why this Project Matters

Simbio is a Danish furniture maker specializing in tailored, luxury solutions for private homes and commercial properties. Known for combining modern design, precise craftsmanship, and advanced technology, the company had a clear challenge: while their products impressed in person, their lack of digital presence meant they struggled to reach new customers and scale production. In a niche market dominated by reputation and word-of-mouth, going digital became essential to secure growth, visibility, and international ambitions.

Our Approach

With support from Aalborg Institute for Development through SMV:Digital, Simbio launched a comprehensive digital transformation project, focusing on three key areas:

  • Website Development – building a modern, mobile-optimized website as a digital showroom with images, product information, customer contact options, and even interactive 3D product views.

  • Digital Marketing Strategy – shifting from word-of-mouth sales to structured online marketing, including SEO, social media campaigns, targeted ads, and email marketing to reach design-conscious consumers and property developers.

  • Sales & Customer Engagement Tools – implementing smarter solutions for lead management, personalized offers, and better use of customer data to convert interest into sales.

Results

A new website that acts as a digital storefront and makes Simbio’s products accessible to a wider audience.
Greater online visibility through investment in SEO and digital campaigns.
First steps into e-mail marketing and targeted offers, resulting in higher engagement with potential customers.
Integration of 3D visualization, allowing customers to explore furniture in detail and bridging the gap between showroom and online experience.
Improved insights into customer behavior through data analysis, providing a foundation for more precise marketing in the future.

Aalborg Institute for Development’s Role

As the SMV:Digital supplier, AID provided strategic advisory services, workshops, and guidance on technology choices. Our role was not only to support the creation of digital tools but also to ensure Simbio’s team gained the knowledge to continue developing and maintaining their online strategy independently.
