Why This Project Matters
PUF Solutions has long been recognized for its specialized cleaning services in high-risk environments such as the petrol industry, and more recently for expanding into commercial and private cleaning. But as the company modernized and diversified, it faced a growing challenge: managing sensitive data responsibly and ensuring robust cybersecurity.
In a time where digital threats are on the rise, building trust with customers meant going beyond technical service excellence — it required a strong framework for IT security and data ethics.
Our Approach
Through the SMV:Digital program and in collaboration with Aalborg Institute for Development, PUF Solutions launched a comprehensive project with three core pillars:
- Data Ethics Policy – developing clear guidelines for the collection, storage, and processing of customer data, ensuring compliance with best practices and legal requirements.
- Cybersecurity Upgrades – conducting a full security assessment and implementing measures such as multi-factor authentication, encryption protocols, and regular security audits.
- Employee Training – delivering targeted workshops to raise awareness, build internal responsibility, and foster a security-focused culture.
Certification Pathways – exploring certifications such as the Danish D-mærket to strengthen external credibility and demonstrate commitment to high standards.

As the SMV:Digital supplier, AID guided the project from start to finish, delivering expert advisory support, structured workshops, and tailored recommendations. Our role ensured PUF Solutions could make informed decisions, implement effective security measures, and sustain digital responsibility as part of daily operations.
