The Challenge

Many Ukrainian entrepreneurs arriving in Denmark possess strong motivation and expertise, but navigating the Danish business system can be overwhelming. Understanding taxation, registration processes, legal responsibilities, and industry-specific requirements is crucial to building a stable and compliant business.

This project addressed these challenges by offering 20 specialised workshops that covered the full entrepreneurial journey—from ideation and business modelling to industry-specific guidance, freelancing, marketing, and operational essentials—ensuring Ukrainian founders were fully prepared to thrive in Denmark’s business environment.

Our Approach

Aalborg Institute for Development (AID) designed and delivered a series of 20 highly practical workshops, offered both online and in-person, covering:

Aalborg Institute for Development’s Role

AID developed the workshop concepts, curricula, and training materials, and delivered all 20 sessions through expert-led instruction. The institute ensured that every workshop combined Danish market knowledge with accessible, hands-on tools that participants could use immediately in their businesses.
